Environmental volunteering in Barcelona: forest and wildlife conservation
Join our environmental volunteering program in Barcelona and make a real difference for nature. This hands-on experience combines learning, action, and connection with the natural world, featuring two main activities:
- Removal of invasive plant species next to Barcelona
- Bat nest box building workshop
The event takes place primarily at the Delta del Llobregat (province of Barcelona), a unique natural area rich in biodiversity. We can also organize volunteering activities in other natural areas around Barcelona, tailored to the group or environmental focus.
By participating, you will help protect local biodiversity, restore ecosystems, and support the conservation of Barcelona’s forests and wildlife.
Removal of invasive plant species: protect native flora
Learn how to identify and remove invasive plants in Barcelona that threaten the balance of local ecosystems.
Objectives:
- Remove invasive plant species that disrupt habitats.
- Restore space for native flora to regenerate naturally.
- Improve the ecological health of trees and shrubs and slow the spread of invasive species.
Challenge: How many kilograms of invasive vegetation can your team remove during this environmental volunteer day?

Bat nest box workshop: support local wildlife

- Create breeding areas in forests, urban parks, gardens, and natural reserves.
- Contribute directly to biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.
Objectives:
